Participatory Budgeting in Lithuanian Schools

A case study of how Lithuanian schools have implemented participatory budgeting (PB) initiatives, engaging students in decision-making over school budget expenditures.

In 2019, Transparency International launched an initiative introducing PB to schools in the country, to involve studnets in budget allocation and improvement projects. This resource discusses the PB programs that were implemented in these schools, the methods and tools used including online platforms, workshops and forums, and the outcomes of these programs.
