Sortition in Schools: A Great Guide for Educators

An educator-guide explaining how to introduce the concept of sortition (random selection) and citizens’ assemblies into school settings.

The guide is structured around four main sections: the vocabulary of sortition and citizens’ assemblies; activity ideas and lesson plans; a library of broader resources; and a full classroom simulation of a citizens’ assembly. It aims to help teachers engage students in thinking about democratic decision-making, representation, and inclusive participation.
