Global Campus child participation model: resource pack

Global Campus model for child-led participation in academia, tested in Nepal in 2022.

The Global Campus Child Participation Model (2022) establishes a framework to integrate meaningful child-led participation within universities and human-rights education. Piloted through the International Child-Led Conference on Mental Health in Nepal, it involved 121 children from nine countries who co-designed themes, sessions, and an action plan. The model is structured in three building blocks: national consultations, a Children’s Leadership Team, and a global child-led conference. The Resource Pack provides manuals, consent templates, safeguarding tools, and evaluation guidelines. Rooted in CRC Article 12, it promotes ethical, inclusive, and autonomous participation, redefining children as leaders and decision-makers, with adults acting as facilitators.
