EmpowerEU: Educate for democracy training program

A pedagogical toolkit and non-formal education program designed for youth, educators, and youth workers to deepen understanding of EU democracy, institutions, and electoral processes.

Developed by the DYPALL Network in 2024, this program expands the "Educate for Democracy" curriculum with three new key chapters: What is Europe about? (history and values), European institutions and elections (how the EU works), and Democracy in elections (electoral systems and the role of the media). It employs non-formal education principles and a learner-centered approach, focusing on experiential learning rather than just theoretical knowledge.
