What if..? Youth Participation toolkit

Toolkit with 12 creative methods for youth participation (10–14 years) to explore, design, and present social solutions.

This resource complements the facilitator’s manual of the same name. It offers 12 ready-to-use exercises that guide young people aged 10–14 through each phase of a design-based learning process addressing social challenges such as poverty, inequality, mental health, or climate change. Activities include choosing a theme, researching, ideating, building prototypes, and presenting solutions. Each working method includes clear objectives, step-by-step guidance, required materials, and pedagogical effects, emphasizing empathy, teamwork, and creativity. Developed by TU Delft, Windesheim, and Garage2020, it helps educators and youth workers translate complex social issues into accessible, participatory learning experiences.
