People Powered is looking for a fundraising leader to build the resource mobilization strategy for the next phase of our work: a senior, global role at the hub for participatory democracy.
Salary: $92,000–$109,000 USD, adjusted for local cost of living
Location: Fully remote, open worldwide, with a focus on Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe
Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Start: October–November 2026, flexible

About the role
We're looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial fundraising leader to build the next chapter of People Powered's resource mobilization. You'll develop and implement a new fundraising strategy that diversifies our funding base, deepens relationships with existing and prospective funders, and builds partnerships that advance both our sustainability and our mission.
Working closely with the Executive Director and senior colleagues, you'll position People Powered with foundations, governments, multilateral institutions and strategic partners worldwide - identifying opportunities before they become funding calls, cultivating long-term relationships, and developing approaches that reflect our values as a global, member-led community. Through this work, you'll play a key role in shifting funding and financial power toward participatory democracy organizations in the Global Majority.
You'll also lead internally: strengthening fundraising capacity across the organization, aligning program development, community-building, communications, and fundraising, and supporting colleagues and members to become more confident fundraisers. You will lead a small but mighty fundraising unit with one other fundraising manager.
