Future democracies: Collective intelligence laboratory for democratic participation

This resource showcases participatory processes implemented with the aid of the Decide Madrid digital platform, including participatory policymaking and participatory budgeting.

This publication details the work of Madrid’s Collective Intelligence Laboratory for Participatory Democracy. The laboratory analyzed and reflected on democratic innovations implemented with the aid of the Decide Madrid digital participation platform.

These pilot experiences of participatory policymaking and participatory budgeting, carried out by the city from 2016 to 2019, offer a vision of the democratic governance of the future.
