Can public participation accelerate net zero transition?

This report provides examples of current innovations, key challenges, existing knowledge centres and learning communities in the field of climate engagement.

The analysis by the International Climate Engagement Network (ICEN) focuses on five categories of climate engagement that are important for governments to consider when developing strategies: citizen deliberation; relationship-based engagement; place-based engagement; large-scale engagement; and systems-oriented engagement.

These findings are informed by perspectives and examples from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Fiji, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and beyond.
