A North Macedonia citizens’ assembly on covid-19: final report

Report including recommendations from North Macedonia’s Citizens' Assembly on equitable healthcare, education and during covid-19.

The Citizens' Assembly of North Macedonia on COVID-19, convened in July 2021, consisted of 40 randomly selected participants who engaged in nine sessions to address pandemic-related challenges. They established principles emphasizing accessible healthcare, universal education during crises, equal enforcement of laws, employment opportunities, support for vulnerable groups, economic equality, respect for personal choice, informal COVID-19 education, and standardized healthcare protocols. Key recommendations included mass immunization, respecting individual vaccination choices, and implementing restrictive measures uniformly. The assembly underscored the importance of government-provided vaccines and public awareness campaigns to achieve collective immunity.
