These 14 projects offer hope for democracy — will you support them?

Every year at People Powered we ask our members around the world to decide what we prioritize in the next year, to practice the participatory democracy that we preach. Our members just developed and voted on 14 projects, but we only have funding for a few of them. Can you help bring these ideas to life by making a #GivingTuesday donation?

It’s been a tough year for democracy. But People Powered and its members are charting a new path forward. We’re opening up new spaces for people to make the decisions that affect their lives. We’re expanding people’s power and voice in governments around the world. We’re building a more participatory democracy, with you.

Our global mentorship, support, and accelerators have helped launch or improve 155 participatory programs. This has enabled communities to reshape laws, policies, and budgets to address their greatest needs - like balancing environmental and economic concerns in the Amazon.
