People Powered launched in July 2020, the product of a collective planning process by participatory democracy advocates, practitioners and researchers around the world. As we come to the end of our initial strategic plan, we’re releasing our first impact report. The report outlines what we accomplished in our first three years, thanks to our staff, members, partners, and supporters.
Learn about the progress we’ve made to develop innovative programs and tools that are expanding participatory democracy worldwide. This will lay the groundwork for our next three years, which you can learn about in our new strategic plan (coming very soon!).

Three comprehensive new global resources, used by 9,000+ people
466 people trained or supported
24 participatory programs launched or improved - 92% in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe or Latin America
2: We Built a Global Community of Practice
91 organizational members & 39 individual members
19 workshops and events to strengthen member capacity
$4.2M in new funding for members and member priorities
3: We Built an Effective and Democratic Global Organization
15 staff based in eight countries
91% annual employee retention rate
